"This event is unlike any other. Since we started in 2016, 100% of our donations have gone to local Johnstown cancer patients that need the financial support."

-Marlene Singer, Johnstown Walk of Hope Coordinator

Thank you for helping us keep HOPE close to HOME!

COVID-19 UPDATE:

For the safety of our participants, the 2020 Johnstown Walk of Hope has been cancelled. While we are disappointed that we are unable to hold this years event, the health and well-being of our participants is top priority. We are confident the community will continue to support our cause and we will get through this difficult time together. Cancer didn't go away because of COVID-19, and we are very committed to raising as much as we can to help patients who will need assistance now more than ever in the upcoming months.

Stay tuned for WALK OF HOPE WEDNESDAYS through the month of May, where we will highlight how your past donations have helped patients in our area. If you can help support the Johnstown Walk of Hope this year, please remember 100% of your donation will support local patients fighting a cancer diagnosis. Thank you!

The Johnstown Walk of Hope is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money to support local cancer patients and caregivers in the Johnstown, PA area. The Johnstown Walk of Hope was established in 2016 to help keep hope close to home and support patients in our community. Unlike other fundraising events, all donations stay local and every penny is donated to support patients with expenses including medical testing, meals, transportation, wigs, and medication. In 2019, over 80 patients in Cambria County received financial assistance as a result of our event.

The Johnstown Walk of Hope is managed by the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies and assists patients who receive care at the following organizations:

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center
Conemaugh Cancer Center
Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center
Children Are Precious Fund*

*Children Are Precious Fund supports families financially, especially those who need to travel out of town for treatment.
